In die Quilts von Latifah Saafir habe ich mich an Ort und Stelle verliebt. Jeder von ihnen ist einzigartig, wunderschön und handwerklich hochwertig gemacht. Sie ist eine inspirierende Künstlerin. Ich kann nur empfehlen, die Videos der von ihr selbst geführten Tour durch die Sonderausstellung anzuschauen: Hier findet Ihr Teil 1 und Teil 2.

I fell in love with Latifah Saafir's quilts at once. Each of them is unique, beautiful and handcrafted to a high standard. She is an inspirational artist. I can only recommend watching the videos of the tour through the special exhibition that she led herself: Here are part 1 and part 2.

QuiltCon 2022: Favorite Quilts [1]

Laut Modern Quilt Guild hingen dieses Jahr 481 Quilts in der Ausstellung. Mich auf ein paar Dutzend davon zu beschränken, um sie hier auf dem Blog zu zeigen, war unendlich schwer. Ich habe meine Lieblinge ausgesucht, aber schon in dem Moment, in dem ich mich festgelegt hatte, entdeckte ich die Bilder anderer Quilts, die ich mindestens ebenso mochte und die auszulassen eine Schande schien - es war eine schier unmögliche Aufgabe. Am liebsten hätte ich noch viel mehr Arbeiten vorgestellt, aber das hätte den Rahmen gesprengt. Hier kommt sie nun also, die nicht definitive, unsortierte, unkommentierte Auswahl meiner QuiltCon 2022 Lieblingsquilts. QuiltCon Recap: According to the Modern Quilt Guild, there were 481 quilts in the exhibition this year. Limiting myself to feature a few dozen of them here on my blog was incredibly difficult. I picked out my favorites, but the moment I had done that I found pictures of other quilts that I liked at least as much and that I didn't want to leave out - it was an almost impossible task. I would have liked to present many more, but I had to stop at one point. So here it comes, the non-definitive, unsorted, uncommented selection of my favorite QuiltCon 2022 quilts.
